Proroute H685 4G Router

Description

The Proroute H685 Industrial 4G Router is a secure, robust and reliable industrial grade router that uses a 4G SIM card to provide a wireless broadband Internet service for remote management and monitoring applications.  It is quick and easy to configure and includes keep alive features to ensure that the router can reconnect to the 4G network in the event that the mobile network provider disconnects the router from its network.  This is a requirement of M2M / Industrial routers that are deployed away from the head office or monitoring station as 4G and 5G mobile network connections are classified as always available rather than always on, which means that at busy time the networks may disconnect permanently connected devices from the Internet.

The Proroute H685 compact 4G router has two Ethernet Ports and built-in WiFi for wired and wireless LAN connections and is configured using the user friendly web configurator.

When installing the H685 router for a monitoring or management application you will usually need to configure port forwarding to your device and for remote access we recommend using a Fixed IP SIM Card which can be supplied with either a public or private IP address.  If you are using a public IP address Fixed IP SIM Card then we recommend you spend some extra time when configuring the router to ensure that you have correctly set the firewall and security features to prevent unauthorised access to the router and connected devices.  This includes correctly configuring any connected devices security features and not just the Proroute H685 firewall and security.
