Robustel R5020 5G Router and 5G Fixed IP SIM Cards
The R5020 router is compatible with all 5G SIM Cards so you can use this router with a standard 5G Data SIM card when using it for 5G Internet, for example as an office 5G router or a 5G Backup router to provide 5G Internet in the event that a wired Internet service fails or maybe even use the R5020 router as a 5G homeworker router to provide high speed 5G Internet for homeworkers. In all these instances it is likely that you do not need remote access to your 5G router so a normal 5G SIM Card will provide an adequate 5G connectivity solution. However, if you need remote access to your 5G router then you will need to use a 5G SIM Card with a Fixed IP address which are called Fixed IP SIM Cards and in particular for a 5G SIM it would be called a 5G Fixed IP SIM Card. This is a service that provides a 5G SIM Card that connects to the 5G mobile network, but when the router is configured you enter the APN in the mobile network settings for your Fixed IP SIM provider and the router connects over the 5G network to their APN and at this point the Fixed IP SIM network provider can provide the connection with either a Public or Private IP address. In the case of a 5G Public Fixed IP SIM Card this means the router can be connected to from any device on the Internet, so your Robustel R5020 router is open to anyone on the Internet so you would need to ensure that you correctly configure the router firewall and security settings and if using port forwarding with the R5020 router then you would need to ensure that any devices on the LAN open to the internet are also correctly configured to ensure their integrity. A 5G Private Fixed IP SIM Card would give the router a Private Fixed IP address so it would not be open to the public Internet so in order to connect to your Robustel R5020 router you would need to connect your PC to your Fixed IP SIM Card providers network first of all using a VPN connection and then you would be able to access your router and connected devices.
The Robustel R5020 5G SIM Router is ideal for applications including 5G CCTV connectivity or other remote access and monitoring applications that require a high speed 5G Internet connection.
The Robustel R5020 Industrial 5G Router is now available from the 5G Router Store and can be supplied with a Fixed IP SIM card ti provide a simple one stop shop solution for your 5G remote access and monitoring application.
